Twitter, other Web 2.0 and Internet Marketing

Tagged:  •    •    •    •

For the past couple of weeks I haven't posted any blogs or updates. And you'll see why.

Sometimes the urge to write is there but due to busi-ness and laziness I'm locked up. So now I have the guts to write and write about almost anything. Anyways this is my blog and I can write anything I want to, marketing-realted or not.

First off, WEB 2.0. What is it? If you know Youtube, have MYSpace account then you're using Web 2.0. In fact over 2 thousand social media (another loose term for Web 2.0) are out there and more coming everyday. Lately I use Twitter. (http://www.twitter.com/cliffordx) to share about me, also share about, you know, how to make money online stuff, etc. You can talk about your dog, you new gadgets, and if users find you interesting, they follow you whatever you say in less than 140 characters. It's a lot of fun and at the same time you got to learn other people. Even US presidential candidates use it for their campaigns.

Yesterday or 2 days ago, my laptop sports a new OS. Before it was a Windows XP SP2 and since it's harddisk "died" last year, this 1.4G IBM ThinkPad T30 were unused for several months now until 2 days ago when I bought 120gigs of Fujitsu 2.5" HD. I tried installing first Slackware 12 but the laziness of me to configure/tweak the beast, lead me to wipe it (install over) by installing Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon. Long story short, it is now installed perfectly but Compiz-fusion have a little bit of work to do but I'm satisfied with some eye candy on Radeon 7500 graphics. Well I don't exactly want that on my laptop, I want productivity and usability, eye-candy is second.

Roll over 2 to 3 weeks ago, I dabbled Mac OS X on my VMware. The 10.4.8 Tiger host OS run perfectly over VMWare but a large compatibility issues of Intel hardware like cannot connect to the internet, no audio, etc lead me to try the Leopard. It unstable and it didn't install so much so that I need more insanelymac forum visits that I don't care to do so what I did desperately to have the feel and look of a Mac (I like to buy Mac if I have the money) I installed FlyAKiteOSX for my host OS which is the Windows XP Pro SP2. Tellingly, it's what I expected and I'm greatly satisfied. Nonetheless, it's still XP with the Mac OSX look ;)

In regards to Internet Marketing and well network marketing where I used to, the Lawn Chair Millionaire is still going strong. I manage to be on top 25 of the top leaders. As usual, Rachel Long manage to make a clean slate, being able to be Number 1 in almost all programs. Well, she's the best in this generation, someday somebody will to rise on to top to snatch that crown.

Internet Marketing Center has new program launch "Online Reality 101". If you have enough of the hype surrounding product launches from IM gurus, this program from Derek Gehl is a cut through the hype and will save you money. Trust me. IMC has been on the internet since early 90's. They are sort of (IMO) the father of IM courses.
