Who controls the Internet?

"There's so much more value in these names than pay-per-click." - Kevin

When I stumble across this article I was like a small fish in a vast Atlantic ocean. When I started getting my fet wet online in 2004, I thought the Internet Marketers that I regard as gods, the gurus and the masters of the field were the ones who control the game.Boy I was wrong. Sure they have their 100 dollar days, 1000 dollar days or like John Reese 1 million dollar days, but there are those who fly-under-the-radar that made a killing since the birth of Internet. I'm talking about the Internet titans before the dot com dumbs and such. Forgettaboutit!

Don't get me wrong, I respect these gurus that provide real value to thier lists but I despise those who promise heaven in thier salesletters (buy me or else you'll die kind of thing) but the paid information is just a rehash guide from the 80's.

Now back to the subject of this blog, who controls the 'Net? Kevin Ham. Kevn Han, Kvin, Hamm? The man who legally steal the .cm domain extension of Cameroon, a Web domain deity with a personal porfolio of roughly $300 million.

The .cm domain extension is a country domain name for Cameroon. Ever wonder why I mispelled out Kevin Ham as Kevin Han or Kvin Hamm? You bet, its done on purpose. Because average Internet users, fire up thier favorite browsers and mistyped for example "yahoo.cm" on the address bar. Guess where that page will lead you to? It leads to agoga.com, and behind it all is you guessed it, Kevin Ham. His profiting from traffic of those millions of average joes on the Internet who mistakenly type ".cm" instead of ".com" at the end of a domain name. He is a friggin' genius!

Paul Sloan, CNNMoney business editor has a full story on this and he perfectly describe about this whole domaineering thing.

The link is: http://money.cnn.com/magazines/business2/business2_archive/2007/...

Imagine, these guys, the domaineers owns thousands of domains, I'm talking about owning 100 thousand domains and buying domains like real "real estates" as oppose to virtual real estates. Whooa! I have domain names that I count on my fingers that I can't even remember that I visited them in a week or months. But they owns like crazy it became an obssession of some sort. Do the math, if $10/year domain name registration with 100,000 domain names to thier name that's $1 Million dollars of expense. They shop domain names 10 or 100 names a day!!

Why I brought this "domaineering" things up?

Before I answer that I will let you in for a short journey of mine. Way back late 2003, while I was sitting on my shabby office chair as a manager, I stumbled upon a website that promise me to setup a ready made business website and start to earn me money in less than 24 hours or less. (Fortunately this website is still in business up to now, its called pluginprofitsite.com, from Stone Evan the home biz guy). Now as newbie that I was I thought, wtf this is manna from heaven to me, so I follow what he said, I joined, he setup my website etc etc.

I had a domain name that I already bought for less than $10/year that time, it's a health related domain name which I had chosen when I planned to create one for my offline Network Marketing business. So that's what I did to setup an account to Stone Evans since that website became dormant.

To make the story short, that website became a dud, unsuccessful and I abandon it without remorse, until...

A few months forward (its year 2004), when I joined an online network marketing company called Juvio, I remember that I can still use it to redirect my prospects to my site, load it up with my recommendations and walla, I can make some good referrals and some easy commissions. But it's sad that's no longer available or it is being snatched up by someone else. Moral of the story, don't give up too easily! See, my Juvio website has still the username of healthsolutionph which I still use eversince.

The name of that domain name is healthsolutionph.com. It's now a parked website with health related offerings.

I brought this up because I remember I have a website called www.webhostingph.com that I haven't touched for as long I can remember. I don't want it to expire and snatched up by these "domaineers" and profit from those traffic. So if you are one of those who are interested with this domain you can go to www.webhostingph.com and see my offer. I have no time to develop this website as I have other more fulfilling things to do besides the Internet.

It's only $240. I will even throw in my freakin' bonuses. All of my purchased Internet Marketing ebooks and software with over $1000 dollars licensed to it (new, currrent and very useful), I will add that for your personal use only, just contact me anytime.

Heck if the value of webhostingph.com become like Fruitgiftbaskets.com, Kevin Ham wil gladly write me a check for $26,250 any day like a cheapskate. I know, I know that won't happen any friggin time anytime in the future or any internet generations to come for that, but I'm just making up something here, you know to borrow the words from Kevin Ham,

"The names are expensive only if you value them the way people like [Clifford] do."

I owned webhostingph.com, now it's time to let it go..

Cliffordxly yours,

-Clifford Enoc
