Mike Filsaime just released his Butterfly Marketing Software for free as a open source. It was sold for a thousand dollars few years ago and many were creating huge wealth using that software –though the software has lots of bugs but is improving every released version.

Now he is releasing it for free all you need to you do is enter your name and email address at the site to get the software. However there is a catch. (Contrary to what other’s say, Hello MIMENEWS)

Mike offers “The Developers Community and Joint Venture Network” charter membership, a paid community for a lifetime access of  $200. With that you get incredible bonuses. Most of his products are also included in the bonus.

I won’t elaborate the bonuses and its price tag as you can see them all from the site if you want to download the software.

With the software now open source , even if you don’t join the paid community, you still can download the software as soon as you confirm your email. It’s instant download and you can rebrand it and make it your own and sell it for no less than $97 or if you are creative, create a membership site that pays monthly recurring billing with your members.

The plans I have is to using the later, create a paid membership sites based on Butterfly Marketing Software.  There were lots of potential using this software similar to SOTAM, (State of the Art Mailer). Just like these they can sell the software for $97 or more all day long.

Over the couple of years, I manage to generate few leads on my Aweber lists however over the course of those years it’s mostly a basic system to get a lead in exchange for a free report or free download, let them acknowledge the first email to confirm their  email address, once confirmed send the free report or free download. Then a couple of  days a follow-up email for paid report or paid products from an affiliate network.  This system is what most Internet Marketers do.

But there are other 4 systems that I’m going to discuss and that’s the topic of this post.

The 5 different response systems from an autoresponder sequences.

The first on the list is the basic response-to-lead system. This is the system that I talk above and it consists of three main parts. 1. Acknowledgement 2. A special report or free cool software and 3. a follow-up sequence hopefully to sell a paid course or product.

The usual scenario is this. You go to a website that tells you about how to learn blogging and make money online in just 7 days. And it that website, there’s a form that informs you  that you will receive a free email series of e-courses on how to exactly do that by  entering your name and email address in the form. Then after you submit the form you will be instructed to confirm your email address to receive your first course or something.

Once you click the confirmation link, you will received another acknowledgement email about  your subscription and reiterate again the free course that you will receive. That’s the basic and covers 80% to 90% of the system most Internet marketers have done as far as I can see.

The second system is what I call Appointment System. This is a type of response where you ask your prospect to be on a particular date to be present on a particular seminar or webinar that prospects wants to participate. This usually carries a commitment on the part of the  prospect whether or not they attend the event or not. This type of system applies to teleseminar or webinar where you ask prospect to attend the event by asking an RSVP and filling a form and be given a call number and access code. If you attended an online seminar where you dial a phone number and access code then you experienced this type of system.

The third system is called Closing-A-Sale System. This type is system when presented online is different compared to offline presentation. The scenario is that when you go to a website taht sells something like a course about how to make a killing in Clickbank, you will be presented with a form to be on a early-bird’s lists or a short video about this ‘widget’ then you get a full video by entering your name and email address in the form provided. Then once you entered your email address, you will be asked to confirm and then in some instances  the full video will be playedor in some cases once confirmed, you can only view the second video. This type of system can obviously help close the sale if the product is  that good, however some affiliate marketers who promoted the product may shy away from promoting your product because they are basically giving away their lists.

Fourth is what I call Upgrade/Upsell System. What this system does is make a relationship with your new customer, overcome any negatives about your ‘widget’ then encourage them to upgrade their purchase, or upsell or basically make them buy another product or service from you.  This is how backend sales processes is done. You need to retain your customers, make repeat sales  and maintain them by providing a relationship marketing.

Conclusion

These 5 systems can help you boost your bottom line and increase the retention rate of your customers. Now my question to you reading this article, what are your stumbling blocks that keeps you from using and ultimately following any of the 5 systems?

We all know the “cloud” is the next big thing, (sort of) in terms of storing your files, videos and documents on the Internet. And I read somewhere (a guy from big MS whom they said are 3 to 20 years ahead of us in the future) that the cloud such as Amazon S3 will be the norm, you can put your data there for a pennies. I read it somewhere and I forgot the link. It’s a interesting read though.

Well, there’s a problem with storing your files over the cloud, especially on Amazon S3. They seem to still have that problem even now as you can see from my own example below.

Here’s the case scenario. You upload your files on S3, create a folder and dump all your videos, documents, mp3’s and any documents there especially those Internet Marketing materials that sells for thousands of dollars. They are vulnerable for thief (but not all, coz they wised up!), meaning to say, someone can give the correct link or directory and get all your stuff on S3.

The usual step will be:

1. Create a Bucket or Folder
2. Upload Your Audio/Video/Docs
3. Change the File Permissions ACL to “Read All”
4. Use your S3 URL to Embed or Access Your Content

There’s a tool out there, (and I’m using it for this instructional demo) to rip your files over at S3, it’s called S3 Ripper. You can google it if you like. What it does is if you know the folder something like FOLDERNAME.s3.amazonaws.com, chances are beneath those folders are accessible and it’s not protected.

Below is an screenshot example:

What this software does is to get all files as you enter the folder name, called the S3 Bucket. Then you can download all of them as you go. These are what you call hotlinking. They can pass the link around forum and blackhat sites and download stuff and you pay the bandwidth. Well, if you sell courses in the thousands of dollars, you can just ignore it coz maybe what’s  a couple of hundred dollar bandwidth bills compared to a single sale of $1997 product? ( Hello IM gurus!)

Well there’s a solution to this problem and it cost a penny (only $7 as of this writing), just a drop of bucket considering the cost you saved when you protect your contents off the cloud like S3.

Introducing, Hot S3 and yeah I’m using the similar technology used in Hot S3 by other software called Easy Video Player. Your files are properly protected and only accessible for those who have the right access, e.g. those who paid for it.

This is how Hot S3 works:

It is being offered as of today by Ian Del Carmen, (the Fireball guy), for only $7.  I wonder why does he offered it for that price, other software with the same technology does the same yet cost $127 and up while he let it go for less than a cup of coffee.

I can only say maybe  that they are offered for Asian market because if your target is the US market, you can charge this software at a minimum of $49 or more. Or it is just me.

Maybe Ian will increase the price soon but who knows. And for the record, I am an affiliate of Ian and if you buy through my link, I get paid. If you have a problem with that, just go directly to HotS3.com and give it a shot. It’s more than worth $7 to me.

It’s been a long time (well more than a month since my last post) that this blog is not updated. I’ve been on a holiday mode and busy mode with other projects and “that’s the bottom line.”

Anyway, for those who are following me, there are a lot of things I want to share with you in the coming days and together with those who work with me will benefit tremendously in terms of business partnership, brainstorming of good ideas for implementation this year 2010.

I’m so excited for this year more than the rest of the years that gone by. But last year taught me more than any years in my life, both personal and professional and I’m looking forward to share it with my subscribers how we can learn from each other’s life.
