Making Money Online The Right Way

The Internet has provided many aspiring internet marketers ways how to make money and blogging is the easiest way to get started. When I started blogging, it was not meant to earn money through adsense, box ads, text links ,etc. For me, it’s kind of like a personal diary of things I do online, of what I’m interested in, of things what I do on my computer, what I do besides in front of my PC, etc.

If you browse way back to my archives, you’ll see that they are mostly about computers, about softwares that I’ve tried and other unimportant things. I’m not even a fan of writing and all I wanted was to dump what’s on my head.

Right now, it came to a point that what was just a hobby blog started to pick up by search engines, visitors started leaving me comments and asking about technical questions via email, I started to get serious about blogging and I’ll make sure that what I learn, what I know, inside my head I’m going to share it, to write about it.

Still my writing is not good, but I tried my best to get my message across. You see, there are many things to learn but unless you’ll not going to share it, you’ll never made an impact to anyone, people don’t know an iota of information about you or what do you do.

So right now, I’ll start to brand myself (Yes, I already started!). No more beating around the bush. I will concentrate on the topic, the theme around my blog to be making money online the right way.

Of course I will also be talking about Affiliate Marketing, Internet Marketing and Network Marketing- the whole nine ten yards on this site. To think, this site was created year 2006, it’s now on it’s 3rd year yet it’s only this year that I really get actively involved into writing, posting and getting really really serious. ;) Seriously.

Here’s what I think is the right way to make money online using blogs: (and for a disclaimer, this is not cure-all be-it-all guide for making money on blogging, it’s just a tidbit of what I learn, just take it with a grain of salt, or you may add ajinomoto if you want :) )

1. Provide really good content – This one is the most important aspect to be successful in making money through blogs yet people often people dismiss this instead they resort to creating automated blog poster or posting unaltered private label right articles.

a. Write really good honest review - Writing a review about the product you believe in, company or program that you have used yourself or been using for years will surely make yourself believable in the eyes of your visitors, they will know if you are telling the truth or not, or if you are just writing to advertise your website or company. Know this, in the next article, I’m going to talk about a topic called “Goodbye Company, Welcome Me”, a concept that will change how you will look at MLM or Network Marketing on the Internet.

List the pros and cons of the company or product you have reviewed and then make a recommendation. Just leave the readers to decide if the product is worth buying or not. And since we’re talking about product reviews, I will shamelessly plug my product review site where you can join free and submit a review about your company, product, or service. Just go to http://pro.ductreviews.com.

b. Participation. These covers a lot of broad topics and subtopics. What I mean is that you participate in a particular topic and leave your useful and honest comment. Or it could be you join in a blog link sites where you can exchange blog links, and then you become friend and partners. There are lots of of ways how to participate in the blogging community and primarily that was just commenting and joining a blog where you are given a privilege to write a post. With this method, you can gain authority, people will look at you, visit your blog and eventually subscribe.

c. Use the Power of Web 2.0 Authority Sites. Writing to an authority Web 2.0 sites will surely make give you competitive to those who aren’t doing it. For example, you write an article or content about making money online to Squidoo, to Hubpages, Wordpress.com or Blogspot.com and link back to your own website. Or here’s another killer – write an article to article website such as Ezinearticles. They give link juice back to your blog. Of course this is not just the only one to gain traffic to your blog. Let’s reserve that article for another day.

2. Promote Yourself. This is the secret to be successful. Honestly, people will look for you, see what you do, just watch what you do, they don’t even care about you, but until they know something about you that made you a “star” they will begin to look for you. Suddenly you become a superstar, a rockstar, the next big thing sort of. Let’s see an example, like the Hollywood stars. The actors and actresses who made big waves in a positive and most of the time in a negative way. Why people look at them? Because they brand and promote themselves. They become the product. It make sense that in blogging, you must also brand yourself, like take this as a good example with Carl Ocab, (I smiled the thought of giving a good mention of my Kababayan, a 13 year old rich kid making lotsa money online!) who just only a 13 years old but made a name on the online media world in the very tight but lucrative niche for the keyword “Making Money Online”.

And without a doubt he is always on the front page of the Google search for that keyword. In Copywriting, this is called USP or your unique selling position. You position yourself as the person who has the authority on the topic. I must say that I will enter into that tight niche and I’ll give it until the end of this year to make it at least top ten BUT, BUT with a little twist but you’ll soon see what I mean in the coming days.

This principle can be applied to almost anything related online. In Network Marketing or MLM they call this Magnetic Sponsoring popularized by Mike Dillard or Attraction Marketing by the MLSP guys but I call this Seduction MLM Marketing or Sedoo Marketing, (Sedoo – seductive marketing with a mix of voodoo – (no not the scary one)). I haven’t registered that name but maybe soon!

Here’s one of the ways how will I brand myself to give you an idea.

1. My friends in the know, often called me “Richdad” where there’s no way I’m related to the company of Robert Kiyosaki.
2. I want to brand myself as a NewbiExpert (well, I searched Google for this term and it came with 270 results. That may change soon). What does it mean? I will be an expert in helping newbies (beginners) on the Internet about making money online. You can find my website to help newbies here.
3. I will promote myself (this is shameless self-promotion) as the next big thing since Lapu-lapu :) lapulapu statue
Hey I wanted to be in the MMA but MMA doesn’t like me. So maybe I’ll teach my son to be a warrior in the mix martial arts.
4. If you know me, give me YOUR SUGGESTIONS??? (please comment below, thanks!)

And lastly, my third….

3. Always think the big picture! – What a way to end this post with that sentence. Yes, too often we’re too inside the box that we forgot to think outside the box. Have a blogging philosophy. Stick to the basics. Don’t overdo it. Keep it simple. Make friends don’t burn bridges. Do an intelligent research. Focus. Relax. Eat well. Exercise often (which is what I need!) Spent time with your family and share your money with less fortunate. Innovate. Don’t afraid to try new things. Think against the herd. Be a leader. Be a good listener. Invent (don’t just reinvent the wheel), Read a book. Laugh. Listen motivation tapes from Jim Rohn etc, watch your purchased DVD movie or educational videos. (He he he, this third suggestions are now became ramblings, way too overboard. Okay, that’s enough!)

Get out of your shell a day or two, talk to a friend younger than you and older than you. And most importantly give back what you have right now that you didn’t have before.
